Introduction
I am pleased to say that the festival is developing nicely and is already looking like it will be a great day.
Venue Change
Central Methodist Church & George Street Woods
Chapel Street, Glossop
The church has three rooms, a kitchen, and a car park which surrounds it. The workshops, guest speakers, and music/performances will be held within the church; the stands and stalls will be on the car park.
George Street Woods
The Enchanted Woodland will provide nature-inspired activities that encompass arts, live acts, family fun, entertainment, and interactive activities, as well as stimulating creativity and imagination …
I am looking for groups and organisations to get involved in this.
Discussion on Facebook.
Website
Thank you to Sara Jayne Slocombe who has created our website. She is the webmistress and will keep the site up to date.
Grants, Sponsorships, and Fund Raising
We are in the process of applying for funding; I will announce any successful bids once I hear back.
If you know of any funding we can apply for or any sponsorship we could obtain I would be very grateful.
Appeal for Prizes
I am appealing to shops, organisations, etc to donate prizes.
Book and Confirm your Place
I need all who wish to attend to book and confirm a space.
To do so all you need to do is send me an email with brief details about your group/organisation, what you will be doing on the day, and a photo or logo.
This information will be used for the promotion of the festival and will enable people to find out about what will be happening on the day. It is also an opportunity for groups attending to promote themselves.
Please check the website to see if you have been added to the confirmed list.
Emails should be sent to: whatsonnorthwest@hotmail.co.uk.
Next Informal Meeting
Thursday 7th February, 7pm, at The Globe.
